Sarah Sofia Productions is a full-service wedding and event planning, wedding and event design boutique firm founded by Sarah Sofia Knepp in 2010.  Sarah Sofia Productions is based in Charlotte, NC but also does business in Columbus, OH.

Meet the Wedding and Event Planner and Designer

Sarah has several years of experience in the wedding and event planning and wedding event design industry.  Sarah grew up learning the art of entertaining.  Even at a young age Sarah enjoyed planning birthday parties and celebrations for family and friends.  she is a wife, a mother and hostess who loves bringing people together in a relaxed and stylish manner to celebrate life’s events.

Sarah’s background and experience have required a high level of organization in fast pace environments, which make her uniquely qualified to develop a detailed event plan, wedding planner checklist and execute it.  Sarah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Davidson College, in Davidson, NC.  Sarah has served as a Legislative Aide to former Ohio U.S. Senator Mike DeWine on foreign policy, defense, and intelligence.  Sarah has also served as a lobbyist for the Ohio Department of Commerce and Finance Director for several political campaigns such as the Ohio Attorney General race, Ohio Supreme Court Justice Judith Ann Lanzinger and Ohio Supreme Court Chief Justice Maureen O’Connor.

Sarah’s expertise in wedding and event planning has been refined over the years with her own wedding in Sarasota, FL in June 2009 and planning several weddings, events, bridal showers, baby showers, birthday celebrations, and corporate events.  Combining her love for entertaining and her stylish attention to detail Sarah launched Sarah Sofia Productions in October 2010.  Using fun, classic, modern, and sophisticated ideas, Sarah Sofia Productions tailors their professional expertise to their client’s vision.

Sarah is also an interior designer at heart! She is always working on the next design project and participated in One Room Challenge in Spring 2014 hosted by Linda with Calling it Home.  Sarah enjoys styling her home and finding vintage pieces to add to her home décor.  Styling a home isn’t much different than styling an event or wedding.
